On the initiative of the “Youth Cooperation Center of Dilijan” NGO, on February 25, a thematic discussion was held on “Civil Society Organizations – Local Government Communication Opportunities Current Cooperation Potential in Ijevan” within the framework of “DATA: Data for Transparent and Accountable Action” program.

The purpose of the discussion was to discuss the communication opportunities of the decision-making processes cooperation in emergencies with the participation of the representatives of the non-governmental organizations and with the newly elected council of elders of Ijevan consolidated community.

During the discussion, the participants presented topics related to CSO-local government relations, the experience of cooperation between the government and the public sector in solving various problems, discussed ways and means of improving communication, and exchanged views on the importance of coordinated work to solve existing problems in the community. Proposals were submitted by the participants for further cooperation and the development of communication mechanisms. The results of the discussion will be analyzed and presented to stakeholders.

10 members of the Council of Elders from 2 political fractions, 10 representatives of 6 non-governmental organizations took part in the discussion.

It should be noted that this was the second thematic meeting. The first took place in 2021, on December 15, in the enlarged community of Dilijan.
