The next meeting-discussion of the “Tavush Political Club” was dedicated to the cultural characteristics of Ijevan community, culture, and development programs implemented in the community, culture as a guarantee of the development of small and average cities.
The main speakers of the discussion were Harutyun Vermishyan, President of the Socies Expert Center, and Anna Ohanyan, a representative of the Ijevan City Hall.
At the beginning of the meeting, A. Ohanyan presented the cultural and social development programs implemented in the community, presented the cultural programs implemented in Ijevan within the EU for Culture program, the cultural strategy, etc.
In the second part of the discussion, H. Vermishyan presented current urban culture narratives and modern practices of cultural development of small and average cities.
The meeting was attended by active youth of the community, representatives of local government, employees of the NPOs, and employees of “Ijevan Infotun” NGO.
”Tavush political club” is implemented by the YCCD NGO within the framework of the “Creation of Political Clubs in Border Regions” program implemented by the “Caucasus” Institute with the support of the Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
