Today, the representatives of small grant programs from Dilijan consolidated community had a meeting with the deputy head of Dilijan community, Arman Bazinyan, within the framework of program “Local Democracy School”.
The purpose of program, expected actions and the opportunities to cooperate with local government bodies were presented during the meeting.
During the implementation of the program, presentations of enterprises of public participation, trainings, meetings, community problems’ solutions and proposals are prepared.
The Deputy Head of community found important the implementation of programs in the settlements of the community as a good opportunity to increase the quality of cooperation between the local government and the society, which is of exceptional importance in ensuring the mobilization and participation of youth.
Mr. Bazinyan assured that they would do their best to ensure proper support and cooperation in the process of program implementation. The programs have a fundraising component; meetings and joint discussions with local governments to ensure the results of the programs will be ongoing.
It should be mentioned, that starting from April 1, 13 small grant programs of Local Democracy School will be launched in Tavush region.
The summarized descriptions of small grant projects of Tavush region are presented below.
Spring media week
The project envisages organizing a one-week spring media school in the enlarged community of Noyemberyan, Tavush region. 10 young people aged 14-17 will take part in the, will learn how to be a media literate in a media society, how to verify information. They will inquiries all the issues that concern community government, as well as they will prepare media materials concerning current problems: interviews, reports, inquiries about the issues that concern them.
The project is implemented by Local Democracy School graduates Amalya Margaryan, Anushik Hakhoyan և Lilit Margaryan.
A strong part of the community is the youth
The project envisages activating youth life in Navur community, increasing youth involvement and interest in local government processes.

Let’s debate
The aim of the project is to raise awareness among young people about local government through the organization of Debate Championships, to promote the development of new skills such as critical thinking, effective communication, analytical skills, reasoning, discussion culture, self-study, teamwork, self-confidence, decision-making, active civic stance and empathy.

Participating Citizen
The aim of the project is to support the effective implementation of programs aimed at the development of Aygedzor community through the monitoring of the enlarged community website and budget.

The Future in our hands
The aim of the project is to promote the participation of residents of Ijevan community in local government processes.
Problems of the program are to form civic active groups in Ijevan community, provide the necessary skills and knowledge through business meetings, as well as model community issues and set priorities.
The project is implemented by graduates of Local Democracy School, Karine Tamrazyan and Anna Ananyan.
Promoting youth participation in community development
The project aims to promote the participation of young people of development programs for the multi-ethnic community of Dilijan. 16-18 young people will be involved in the program, who will undergo training courses, study the existing areas in the five-year plan of the enlarged community, will make proposals, will be discussed, will work be done to include them in the plans.
The project will be implemented by Լocal Democracy School graduates Lia Ghazaryan and Arpine Israelyan.
The young’s voice is audible
The aim of the project is to create a center with a new educational opportunity in Haghartsin community to promote the involvement of young people in the life of the community. As a result of the program, a center will be created where young people will be given the opportunity to participate in groups aimed at their development, to receive professional orientation, in various professional and non-professional trainings.
The project is implemented by Local Democracy School graduates Margarita Tamrazyan, Lilit Badalyan and Nara Badalyan.
Community of Light
The aim of the project is to improve the youth potential in community development through cooperation with local governments. As a result of the suggested program, we will have a community, some of whose inhabitants will be informed about what a local government is, its essence and significance, and will have the opportunity to participate in community governance.

The aim of the project is to preserve the traditions, cultural peculiarities and peculiarities of the settlements from Noyemberyan to Ayrum through the cultural school, to integrate the youth, to establish intercultural relations, to provide theoretical and practical knowledge to the participants on such cultural directions as painting, applied art, stained glass, handicrafts.

Aware Community Sustainable Development
The aim of the project is to promote the participation of the inhabitants of Getahovit community in the process of local self-government through community enterprises. The program envisages stimulating the activity of the community residents increasing the participation in the local government processes.

Learn to change
The aim of the project is to promote participation in local self-government through active youth involvement. During the project series of trainings will be implemented, strategy study of local governments will be implemented, a package of proposals and changes will be developed to present to local governments. By organizing debates, through dialogue between local governments-society, their interactive relations will be expanded.

Promoting the integration of displaced youth as a result of the Artsakh war
The aim of the project is to promote the community integration of the displaced youth as a result of Artsakh war, the establishment of active youth ties, participation in community life, the realization of their rights, resulting in an informed, self-realized integrated youth.

Active Citizen, Aware Community
The aim of the project is to increase the level of awareness of Gandzaqar community and their participation level in the relations with local governments.
The project envisages training of 10 young people who will have the skills to classify problems in the community, to develop and submit proposals.
The project is implemented by Local Democracy School graduates, Siranush Iskandaryan and Marsela Malaqyan.
