Conference on youth entrepreneurship development

On March 4, Yerevan hosted an advocacy conference dedicated to youth entrepreneurship development, organized by “Free Citizen” Civic Initiatives Support Center (CISC) with the support of “Armenian Progressive Youth” NGO within the framework of “Youth for the development of entrepreneurship in rural areas” project.

During the conference, the interested participants, including representatives of youth organizations, business structures and state bodies, discussed the potential of social entrepreneurship in the development of Armenia and in the solution of social problems.

Karen Sargsyan, an expert on social entrepreneurship, presented the research implemented by the “Innovative Center for Community Development” and within the framework of “Youth for the development of entrepreneurship in rural areas” project.

During the conference, young people who participated in “Youth for entrepreneurship” conference held in Vienna on November 7-8, 2018, came up with ideas of social entrepreneurship projects.

The ideas were mainly developed during the EaP International social entrepreneurship school held on September 2018 in Dilijan city, organized by “Youth Cooperation Center of Dilijan” (YCCD) NGO.
