On October 27-29, partner organizations launched Youth Programming Assessment Tool Kit based on the Positive Youth Development (PYD) concept for the first time in Armenia, within the framework of program “Data for Accountable and Transparent Action” (DATA).  It helps youth organizations measure the effectiveness of youth programs and identify the areas that need strengthening or further development. Through startup examples, it offers specific stages to improve program results.

PYD involves young people and their families in the process of realizing youth potential with communities and governments.  PYD differs from those traditional approaches, which view risks and arisen problems connected with young people. PYD supports young people and promotes the improvement of their quality of life. PYD programs prove that getting enough knowledge, skills and support young people can improve their health condition, reach economic and educational successes, as well as involve and have a significant contribution in the development of community.

Currently, Youth Cooperation Center of Dilijan (YCCD) NGO is actively in the localization stage through YPAT assessment of local non-governmental organizations within the framework of program DATA.

DATA Program is implemented with the support of the DATA Consortium (Eurasia Partnership Foundation, SOCIES Expertise Center, Bun TV Foundation, Youth Cooperation Center of Dilijan NGO, SOSE Women’s Issues NGO) in partnership with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

“Data for  Accountable and Transparent Action (DATA) aims to contribute to the improvement of fact-based policy-making process by strengthening  capacities of CSOs, such  as using reliable and reasonable data, analyzing and reporting it effectively, developing expert knowledge and skills, and get support from other stakeholders.
