The dual community of Shirak, Lori and Tavush regions will implement “Partaking Monitoring for Smart Community Building in Armenia” sub-grant program implemented by the European Union.

The program includes the enlarged communities of Ashotsk-Akhuryan of Shirak region, Tumanyan-Stepanavan of Lori region, Dilijan-Noyemberyan of Tavush region. In these communities, services will be monitored by local governments, packages of public policy improvement proposals will be developed, work will be done to raise the level of public awareness in the field of public administration and to promote public administration.

The program is implemented by “Compass” Research, Training and Consultancy Center / “Compass” research, educational and consulting center / NGO – partners NGO Center / “NGO Center” Civil Society Development NGO /, YCCD NGO – Youth Cooperation Center of Dilijan / “Dilijan Youth Cooperation Center” NGO հետ INFORMATION SYSTEMS DEVELOPMENT AND TRAINING CENTER in cooperation with NGO.

Within the framework of the sub-grants provided by the “Constructive Dialogue Commitment” program operated by a consortium led by the “Armenian Bar Association” NGO.

A training was held today at Youth Cooperation Center of Dilijan for 20 pre-selected monitors from  Tavush region, who will conduct community-based community service monitoring in the enlarged communities of Dilijan and Noyemberyan as part of the Participatory Monitoring for Smart Communities in Armenia program.

Project Manager, Haykaram Drmeyan, presented the role of participatory monitoring and mechanisms to involve, and the expert, Sonya Msryan presented the research methodology.

The project is funded by the European Union.
