Within the framework of the DATA program, in the Haghartsin community of Tavush region, under the leadership of Ani Hovhannisyan, the small grant program “Aware Youth for Sustainable Development” continues. This time 16 young people and 2 teachers aged 15-18 from the community participated in the “How to influence decision-making?” Course, which was conducted by Vahe Khachikyan. The participants got acquainted with the step-by-step decision-making process at the local level, the legal ways, and means of influencing the citizens, and through practical exercises, they learned how the “problem-to-solution” cycle works. The methods of ensuring public response to the activities of local self-government bodies and the current opportunities for public participation were introduced.

Within the framework of the project, surveys were conducted to find out the young people’s ideas on the solution of youth problems and community problems, based on the results of which a package of proposals will be compiled to be presented to local governments.

“DATA: Data for Accountable and Transparent Action” program is implemented with the support of DATA Consortium (Eurasia Partnership Foundation, SOCIES Expertise Center, Bun TV Foundation, Youth Cooperation Center of Dilijan NGO, SOSE Women’s Issues NGO) in partnership with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID)).
