The trainings are going on for the employees of Dilijan Municipality cultural, library, sports, museums and musical non-profit grassroots organizations in the scope of program “Accountable Community, Aware Citizen”.

The four-day training has been held by the expert. 12 employees of institutions  have been obtained essential skills and knowledge on strategy planning.  With their experience and support of institutional directorates, they have arranged their initial forms of strategy plans and actions timetable for 2022.

During the next meeting, strategy/working plans and actions timetables of program beneficiary institutions were presented, which was attended by the deputy head of Dilijan consolidated community A.  Bazinyan, as well as representatives of the municipality and non-profit grassroots organizations.

Mr. Bazinyan found important the implementation of the following program, which is directed to strengthen the skills of community-based institutions, mentioning that, “Our cooperation with the public sector is significant for improving the quality of services provided by institutions. Also, we find important the development of new working  forms of these institutions under COVID-19, which will be reflected in Dilijan Development Plan in  future as well”.

To provide regular publication  about activities of non-profit grassroots organizations, a new tool  will  be available on the official website of Dilijan Municipality and for using other online features to keep contact with the Municipality  ( as well as writing online applications, following  decisions making under COVID19),  will be held informative seminars in Dilijan consolidated community.

The coordinator of YCCD NGO, Ararat Alikhanyan added, that they are ready to continue the cooperation with local non-governmental bodies in the scope of community developing programs.

The main aim of the project is to increase the level of transparent and accountable working through training to apply online tools usage and skills, as well as through improving strategic diversion of Municipality of Dilijan enlarged community and minor institutions.

The program “Accountable community, Aware citizen” is held within the framework of project “Innovation for change_ (I4C) Armenia”, which is conducted by “Partnership and Teaching” NGO. The latter is funded by TIDES center and USAID. 

The aim of the program is to promote locals’ activity and involvement by investing accountability system of local non-governmental bodies and non-governmental organizations.
