What is Local Democracy School?
The school is a series of continuous training and events designed to train enthusiastic young people with new knowledge. The school is non-stationary, i.e. it can carry out its courses and activities in different communities of Armenia, at the same time in several places. Through these courses, personnel is continuously trained in the communities of Armenia, who in the future will have their own role in the establishment and development of democracy in the communities.
What is the aim of LDS?
The main goal of the school is to train active, democratic young professionals in the communities of the Republic of Armenia, who will have the necessary knowledge and skills in the field of local self-government, in the related operational areas and will play a significant role in implementing reforms in the public administration system.
What will LDS participants learn?
Participants will learn the basic ideas and approaches of local self-government, democracy, knowledge, and skills to develop, implement and control community development programs.
Who can participate in the work of LDS?
The school is open to graduates of secondary schools, vocational and higher education institutions, members of local self-government bodies, young professionals in community staff, community organizations, and other young people over the age of 18 and under 35.

In 2021, within the framework of the “School of Local Democracy” (TDP) program, 13 small grant projects were implemented by the youth of Dilijan multi-residential community of Tavush region.
