On November 27, the second meeting of the Dilijan Refugee Community Council took place at the office of the Dilijan Youth Cooperation Center NGO.

During the first part of the meeting, a training session on “Human Rights and Refugee Rights” was conducted, and in the second part, participants were able to ask the guest speaker their legal questions of concern.

The invited specialist was Roza Zhamharyan, a lawyer, member of the Chamber of Advocates of the Republic of Armenia, and a public defender.

Within the framework of the training, topics were discussed regarding the legal status of displaced persons from Nagorno-Karabakh in the Republic of Armenia, their fundamental rights, and temporary protection.

During the discussion, members of the council raised several urgent issues faced by displaced persons from Nagorno-Karabakh. It was decided that during the next meeting, these issues will be singled out and, after being properly formulated, compiled into a package of recommendations to be presented to the relevant authorities in the near future.
