A new project \u2018STRIVE for a better future: communities and civil society resilience in Armenia\u2019 has launched.<\/div>\n
On April 26 the project launch event took place in Yerevan with participation of the EU Delegation, embassies, ministries, international organizations, civil society, and partner organizations.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

H. E. Ms. Andrea Wiktorin, Ambassador and Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia, welcomed participants to the launch event with an opening speech. Following the presentation about the project and its implementing organizations, attendees discussed the general needs and gaps of Armenian CSOs while emphasizing the importance of the collaboration among the organizations working in this sector.<\/div>\n
The first competitive sub-grant of the project, an emergency fund for quick-impact community response projects led by CSOs, was announced during the event.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The STRIVE project aims to improve the resilience, sustainability, accountability, and capacity for innovation of Armenian civil society organisations (CSOs). It will engage CSOs across the country in activities to develop their capacities, improve mechanisms to engage citizens and promote volunteerism, and develop and expand partnership networks.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

A fund of competitive sub-grants totaling over 700 000 EUR will be directed to over 100 different initiatives proposed by CSOs and non-formal groups targeting CSO sustainability and innovation, community needs, media literacy, and volunteerism.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

STRIVE is co-funded by the European Union and implemented by NEF Belgium in partnership with \u2018\u2019Agate\u2019\u2019 Rights Defense Center for Women with Disabilities NGO, \u2018\u2019Blejan\u2019\u2019 Ecological, Social, Business Support NGO, Women\u2019s Development \u2018\u2019Resource Center\u2019\u2019 Foundation, \u2018\u2019Youth Cooperation Center of Dilijan\u2019\u2019 NGO.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
